The bed and pillows were very comfortable. There were many accessible outlets, particularly on the nightstand, which made it easy to hook up my cpap machine. It seemed to be a historical location and the Inn was cute and quaint. We took an evening walk before bedtime. We each took hot showers before bed that felt wonderful and relaxing. The front desk staff were kind and helpful. Dana explained things well and was very polite. We stayed in Room 12 on the lower level. It was a great queen room -- just what we needed after a long drive. I was glad I didn't need to carry my bags upstairs since I have bad knees. Thank you Sonoma Creek Inn! We would definitely stay there again!

I loved it that I had a walled private patio outside my room. The kitschy lampshades featuring local history are charming. The room was clean and comfortable, with refrigerator and an easy-to-operate coffee machine. The office staff and the staffer on the emergency hotline were very courteous. Parking was easy and close to the room. The guidance said to call for late checkout after 6 and I'm very glad I did. The process with the "late" arrival and "early" checkout with the late arrival lock box was quite elaborate. I had to use it five times so I got better with it. The office manager I spoke to was very friendly; ditto the woman staffing the emergency line.

I booked this inn at the last minute after being on the receiving end of a bait-and-switch at another inn, but I'm so happy I ended up at Sonoma Creek Inn. The room was the perfect size, very clean, very private, quiet, and exactly what it was advertised to be. The icing on the cake was the staff member who checked us in. This employee was warm, welcoming, and very helpful. I would absolutely come back, and I strongly recommend this inn above others in the area. They don't serve breakfast here, but there is a cafe attached to (but independent from) the inn, and the food was excellent. Overall, I am very satisfied with every aspect of my stay.

My call the day (or 2) before arrival requesting early entry by one hour was received by a man who stated he would note the request in the register, and they would do their best to accommodate our request. I explained we had a 5pm wedding, and 4pm checkin was too tight to shower, dress and drive...). When we arrived, we were told there was no evidence of any request, and 4pm was checkin time: no room change or housekeeping change was possible. We got into the room at 4, and were late to the wedding, Accommodations were fine; customer service and therefore public relations, failed badly.

The location is only a 5-6 minute drive to the heart of Sonoma. Since it is also within 30-40 minutes of the towns of Napa, Petaluma, Sebastopol and Bodega Bay, it is a good location for visiting many Sonoma County locations without a long drive. The interior decor is quite pleasing. The best restaurants are closer to downtown, but the old-style diner that is part of the main building has excellent breakfast and lunch offerings.
